Production, Audio
A radio producer will work closely with the talent, typically preparing the show notes and ensuring the smooth flow of segments and audio cues.
They will have a creative role along with the host of the show, discussing the path for episodes in the future as well as keeping the show aligned with the station's values.
You could pair up with a particular DJ, Show, Style, Day of the Week. Whatever works.
If you see yourself as a steady yet creative hand behind-the-scenes, let us know below!
We are also looking for Audio Creatives who might help with Station Imaging (Bumpers, Idents, Trailers), and being technical liaison for Artists, Producers and DJs.
Audio quality and reliability are paramount for obvious reasons, so making this project sound as good as possible will be a group task.

Whether you're volunteering advice or practical help, anything that helps CloudBuster uphold a professional, alternative, outsider vibe is what we need.

CloudBuster Community Management, Forum & Chat Moderation
This is where the real work starts.
Community building is the next step for CloudBuster radio. We exist in two spheres - Internal and External.
Internal Community is CloudBuster Radio chat, our little ecosystem. It's how we retain listeners and supporters, offering them a place to belong.
External Community is part of Community Realism - CloudBuster is normalising Community Action, Solidarity and Mutual Aid.
Part of that approach is providing the Community Forum, where communities can ask for help, people can discuss strategies and methods, call for personnel or resources. This aims to be a vibrant and dynamic space and we therefore require passionate community builders to jump in.
Our community forum uses Flarum so any experience in that or similar would be a bonus.

Community Reporting, Organiser Liaison
Community Realism in action. We are always on the lookout for more connections between our reporting and the communities themselves.
CloudBuster is looking for members of communities who are interested in promoting their projects, reporting success stories, and reaching out for help.
We are also in need of collaborators with an understanding of organising and community action that can lead us in the building of Action Reports and further programming, liaise with organisers and groups to build a network of contacts from which we can report and reach out to and promote, and to help compose the safety aspects of the project as I have no background in that. Building the kind of framework that maintains consistency and fairness in reporting and ensuring continued searching of communities in need of promotion and amplification.
These could end up as very involved roles depending on your availability, and as such the Communities Manager will be one of the first we are looking to become fulltime, when funding becomes an option. More importantly for now, however, is the building of relationships and trust with communities and we need as many people for that as we can get!
